Sue Penn Featured in Press Quilt

Sue Penn was featured in Press Quilt’s Summer 2026 issue.

Sue a lifelong creative, began sewing after joining a local guild. Her love for the craft lead her to a career. After attending Quilt Market, Sue was inspired to begin designing fabrics.

Her designs infuse memory and imagination with subjects from nature. She has a multistep process that begins with painting, stenciling, stamping, and embossing. These are made into a collage that is digitally scanned and turned into pattern suited for fabric.

Sue also loves sharing her craft with others, and leads workshops where students learn to create layered compositions.

Her most recent collection is titled “Wings of Wonder”, and is available now.
