March First Friday in Collaboration with Des Moines Public Schools - We Are Iowa Local 5 News

We Are Iowa Local News 5 stopped by at First Friday on March 6th to highlight the event and the collaboration with Des Moines Public Schools.

Guests experienced a district-wide student art exhibition featuring work by hundreds of DMPS students representing 60 schools and special programs, displayed across three gallery floors.

The evening highlighted the creativity and talent of young artists while celebrating the important role art plays in building confidence, curiosity, and the next generation of creative leaders in Des Moines.

The exhibition is on display until Tuesday, March 24th with a closing ceremony from 5-7pm. Artists, family, friends, and community members are welcome to attend!

You can also check out the student works during our public hours Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Make sure to grab a scavenger hunt created by the After School Arts program.

Mainframe Studios is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am to 4pm. You can stop by and pick up a scavenger hunt at the front table, or the help desk near the elevators.
