Nicole Soriano is an interdisciplinary artist and recent graduate from Iowa State University’s MFA program in Integrated Visual Arts, with focuses in painting, digital media, and film. Her work critically challenges patriarchy by subverting trivializing representations assigned to women by men. Using the visual language of horror and extreme satire, she finds empowerment by channeling female rage through her art.

Micah Ferin is a queer artist and designer born and raised in Des Moines and is the Drake Alumni Artist-in-Residence for 2023-24. Micah explores rich personal narratives, techniques, and color applications within his work and is always looking for ways to experiment and incorporate new imagery, concepts, and techniques. Outside of Mainframe, he also teaches youth, adult, and community access classes at the Des Moines Art Center, and has had his work shown in local spaces around Des Moines. Currently, Micah enjoys experimenting with different drawing mediums, exploring complex imagery, and making art affordable and accessible for all.
