Mainframe Studios is a new nonprofit model for providing permanent affordable workspace to artists of all disciplines. When fully complete our 160,000 square foot building at 900 Keosauqua Way in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, will feature 180 nonresidential artist studios, arts-related nonprofit offices, and event rental space. It's our vision to transform Central Iowa’s arts scene by creating a financially self-sustaining economic and cultural driver that stands the test of time.

Our rental rates include: Modern amenities, 24/7 access, basic fiber wifi connection, general liability insurance, security camera monitoring, and access to a fantastic community.

Application Fee
At the end of this application you will be asked to pay a $100 non-refundable fee to secure your commitment. You will be credited this fee when leasing begins.

*Note that our building is usually fully occupied. We have a waitlist of around 100 artists, and applicants can expect to be waiting for space for 3+ months.
